Kundalini yoga, Hatha yoga, Yoga Nidra, Yin, and Restorative Yoga classes

Description:
Dive deep into Kundalini yoga (kriyas) or other yoga modalities to awaken your inner self and reach higher awareness through gentle movements, relaxation, and meditation practices. Wear comfortable clothing and bring (optional) to your mat: a water bottle, a meditation cushion/pillow, or a block; eye cover and pillow for deeper relaxation; folded or rolled up towel; strap, blocks, shawl, or blanket (if needed). My classes are instructed as modified-classic Kundalini yoga taught by KRI (YB), where I hold the space for you and provide silence during each asana (posture), so you can dive deeper into internal space and reach the void of the inner stillness. I do not count the minutes and seconds to remind you of the posture duration, as we were taught in the Yoga Teachers Training, simply because we need to be in the present moment, in the now, reaching for internal peace and connection with the Higher consciousness.
In other yoga modalities that I currently teach, such as Hatha, Yin and Restorative yoga, we are constantly aware of the breathe in a gentle flow, as traditional yoga that I teach is not a form of exercise, but much deeper practise for the body, mind, and soul. We use hand gestures (mudras), bandhas (body locks), breathing techniques (pranayama), mantra chanting (or listening), short meditations, and physical postures (asanas).


Each Yoga modality brings its own, unique benefits to the body, mind, and Soul, in its specific way of practicing asanas (postures), breathing, and meditation/relaxation techniques. Certain modalities are to help you with deeper work on the muscle tissues and joints (Hatha yoga), others on ligaments/tendons (Yin and Restorative yoga).
Yoga Nidra - sleepless sleep, is a guided meditation where you learn to relax consciously, through imagery, by doing so called rotation of consciousness, by simply placing your awareness on certain parts of the body or on feeling sensations. The process works on the relaxation of the nervous system. In yoga Nidra, the state of relaxation is reached by turning inwards, away from outer experiences.
